The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anthimos Stasinopoulos's late challenge caught a Andromahiotis f.c's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anthimos Stasinopoulos helped the player get up and apologised. Anthimos Stasinopoulos hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. MakaroniaMeKima F.C's Fotis Tsiamitras managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Valentinos Koulopodis in the 14 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Themistoklis Papafotis in the 14th minute of play forced Andromahiotis f.c's goalkeeper Dimitris Asimakopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in MakaroniaMeKima F.C's zone, Lino Messias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nikola Tesla came out of the goal and Lino Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the match, MakaroniaMeKima F.C's Themistoklis Papafotis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dimitris Asimakopoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. MakaroniaMeKima F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Themistoklis Papafotis in the 27th minute. Thomas Tsoflidis thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Dimitris Asimakopoulos, a very annoying self made goal in the 27th minute which led to 0-1. The MakaroniaMeKima F.C fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when MakaroniaMeKima F.C's Fotis Tsiamitras looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 36th minute Christoforos Skounas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikola Tesla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loukas Kokkalis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Themistoklis Papafotis might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dimitris Asimakopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Themistoklis Papafotis ran back to his position shaking his head. Theagenis Georgatos lost his temper 45 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Theagenis Georgatos kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Themis Zoumis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Lino Messias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MakaroniaMeKima F.C's Nikola Tesla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nikola Tesla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Rosen, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Themis Zoumis took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nikola Tesla. Nikola Tesla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Andromahiotis f.c:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MakaroniaMeKima F.C:s goal. The referee gave MakaroniaMeKima F.C a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Anthimos Stasinopoulos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Andromahiotis f.c's Dimitris Asimakopoulos. 1-3. After 78 minutes, Loukas Kokkalis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MakaroniaMeKima F.C and the Andromahiotis f.c players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, MakaroniaMeKima F.C's Loukas Kokkalis got a free kick in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Themis Zoumis in the 86th minute of play forced MakaroniaMeKima F.C's goalkeeper Nikola Tesla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Themistoklis Papafotis charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Themistoklis Papafotis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to MakaroniaMeKima F.C getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Themistoklis Papafotis hit a great ball. Evaggelos Karabelas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dimitris Asimakopoulos came out and tried to block the shot, but Evaggelos Karabelas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 92nd minute. In the 97th minute Themis Zoumis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikola Tesla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
