After a defensive mix-up in Argentinos Juniors's zone, Panos Petras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giotis Solakis came out of the goal and Panos Petras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stratos Xanthopoulos struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Giotis Solakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panaitwlikos FC. Giotis Solakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stratos Xanthopoulos in the 9th minute of the match. If Christoforos Zagorakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 14 minutes into the game, one of Panaitwlikos FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Panos Satratzemis had in the 15thth minute some difficulties stopping Vaggelis Xarchakos's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Argentinos Juniors's Manos Karagiannis got a free kick in the 24th minute. Stratos Xanthopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stratos Xanthopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Giotis Solakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Argentinos Juniors's Giotis Solakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panos Petras in the 34th minute of play. If Stratos Xanthopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Manos Karagiannis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giotis Solakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stratos Xanthopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Stratos Xanthopoulos made the kick off in the second half. Panos Satratzemis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ntinos Kitrinos in the 52nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ntinos Kitrinos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Panos Satratzemis was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Panos Petras's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giotis Solakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Panos Petras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Stratos Xanthopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panos Satratzemis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ntinos Kitrinos in the 64th minute of the match. In the 75th minute of the match Kostas Kourtis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Giotis Solakis skillfully saved the ball. In the 78th minute, Manos Karagiannis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vaggelis Xarchakos made a great header on Argentinos Juniors's corner, it was just that Panaitwlikos FC's Panos Satratzemis managed to reach the ball for a save. Argentinos Juniors's Christoforos Zagorakis got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
