After a rather tough play, Kerasokhσrion's Daniil Dimitriadis got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Athletic Athens booed when Kerasokhσrion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniil Dimitriadis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute Themis Tsilikas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Koulis Psikos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Kerasokhσrion's zone, Viktor Benke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonidas Labrakis came out of the goal and Viktor Benke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andreas Poursanidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonidas Labrakis having to interfere. Viktor Benke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Leonidas Labrakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game was made by Giorgos Kaloritis with Ignatios Tsaris as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 44 minutes into the match, Andreas Poursanidis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonidas Labrakis. Kerasokhσrion's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andreas Poursanidis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Koulis Psikos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Themis Tsilikas in the 51st minute of play. Andreas Poursanidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. In the 72nd minute, Kerasokhσrion's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Viktor Benke fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Leonidas Labrakis didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 73rd minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. In the last second Leonidas Labrakis throw himself and got hold of the ball when Andreas Poursanidis in the 78thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Viktor Benke hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Giorgos Kaloritis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dimitris Christodoulopoulos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Koulis Psikos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viktor Benke got free with Leonidas Labrakis in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
