The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Elefthéri got a freekick which was hit by Vaggelis Robolas. After 7 played minutes Spνtia FC got a freekick which was hit by Nikolas Thanailakis. Kleon Georgakopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacharias Dimakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Simos Thanopoulos was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 12th minute. Spνtia FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michalis Skalakis during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Spνtia FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Michalis Skalakis hit a great ball. With 20 minutes on the clock, Giannis Bousios commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 19 minutes into the game, one of Spνtia FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Spνtia FC:s Kleon Georgakopoulos showed great skill when he stopped Vaggelis Robolas:s penalty. 21 minutes into the match, Vaggelis Robolas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kleon Georgakopoulos. Spνtia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vaggelis Robolas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some careless play in the Spνtia FC defense, Zacharias Dimakos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kleon Georgakopoulos. The Spνtia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kleon Georgakopoulos should have stopped the shot. Fragiskos Samarakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michalis Skalakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Odysseas Kalapodas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Elefthéri's Odysseas Kalapodas got control of the ball when Fragiskos Samarakos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Giorgos Salemenopoulos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Odysseas Kalapodas. Giorgos Salemenopoulos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fragiskos Samarakos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Andreas Kanatas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Spνtia FC's Fragiskos Samarakos fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Fragiskos Samarakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nikolas Thanailakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Fragiskos Samarakos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Odysseas Kalapodas was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Fotis Rousseas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kleon Georgakopoulos having to interfere. Fotis Rousseas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Kleon Georgakopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elefthéri's Odysseas Kalapodas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giorgos Salemenopoulos in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zacharias Dimakos in the 84th minute of play forced Spνtia FC's goalkeeper Kleon Georgakopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Fragiskos Samarakos made a precise shot to the right of Odysseas Kalapodas. Elefthéri's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Fragiskos Samarakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nikolas Thanailakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Odysseas Kalapodas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chants of Elefthéri echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Spνtia FC had held the ball for most of the match.
