An unexpectedly hard shot by Vassilis Tzikas in the 18th minute of play forced KoPiDia's goalkeeper Vaggelis Solakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Athνna's Vassilis Tzikas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vaggelis Solakis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kleanthis Chatziiakovou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vaggelis Solakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vassilis Tzikas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vaggelis Solakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vassilis Tzikas in the 37th minute of the match. Vassilis Tzikas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vaggelis Solakis having to interfere. Vaggelis Solakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kleanthis Chatziiakovou's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. 48 minutes into the match, KoPiDia's goal looked a bit too open when Louis Antzas came free, but Vaggelis Solakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kleanthis Chatziiakovou was the one to do the kick off. Loukas Valassakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Babbis Piomenos having to interfere. In the 59th minute Valentinos Spazokefalos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaggelis Solakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Athνna's Kleanthis Chatziiakovou dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. With his leg Vaggelis Solakis managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Athνna's Kleanthis Chatziiakovou fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Vassilis Tzikas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Vaggelis Solakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Valentinos Spazokefalos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Vaggelis Solakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Vassilis Tzikas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. Athνna's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
