The Voοvatα FC fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Voοvatα FC's Argyris Tsakarelidis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 65th minute, Voοvatα FC's Giorgos Telios dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in ΠΑΕ Παναθηναϊκός's zone, Argyris Tsakarelidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stavros Mantzios came out of the goal and Argyris Tsakarelidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ΠΑΕ Παναθηναϊκός! The referee gave Voοvatα FC a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Petros Zelelidis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of ΠΑΕ Παναθηναϊκός's Stavros Mantzios. 0-4. In the 74th minute of the match Notis Vavatsikos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stavros Mantzios skillfully saved the ball. 78 minutes into the match, ΠΑΕ Παναθηναϊκός's goalkeeper Stavros Mantzios had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Argyris Tsakarelidis. A collision led to ΠΑΕ Παναθηναϊκός getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Giannis Katsanikas hit a great ball. With 97 minutes on the clock, Alexis Kisemlis commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The goalkeeper, Stavros Mantzios, was totally fooled by Voοvatα FC's Petros Zelelidis, who 99 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Voοvatα FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
