Anestis Tsionas came out of the goal and Aimilios Skalidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Palaiókipos FC's Nestoras Karidas got a free kick in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Palaiókipos FC's goalkeeper Stelios Dimis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iason Stasinopoulos. Stelios Dimis made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Iason Stasinopoulos sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Palaiókipos FC's Stelios Dimis got control of the ball when Iason Stasinopoulos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Palaiókipos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestoras Karidas to maneuver through the defense. Palaiókipos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kostas Giannakoglou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Aimilios Skalidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Thanos Lazanas made the kick off in the second half. Stelios Dimis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iason Stasinopoulos in the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iason Stasinopoulos in the 76th minute of play forced Palaiókipos FC's goalkeeper Stelios Dimis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aimilios Skalidis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anestis Tsionas came out and tried to block the shot, but Aimilios Skalidis slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 81st minute. Aimilios Skalidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. PANATHINAIKOS FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sokratis Batatoudis in the 100th minute.
