The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Palaiokhσra FC's Pantelis Leontarakis got control of the ball when Evripidis Koubaroulis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 7th minute, Isidoros Kalaboukis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Evripidis Koubaroulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pantelis Leontarakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoros Kalaboukis in the 14th minute of the match. Isidoros Kalaboukis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evripidis Koubaroulis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pantelis Leontarakis having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Isidoros Kalaboukis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amigdhaliαs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoros Kalaboukis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Palaiokhσra FC's Notis Venieris sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kleanthis Koutsis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Evripidis Koubaroulis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Pantelis Leontarakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Notis Venieris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Amigdhaliαs's zone, Notis Venieris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kleanthis Koutsis came out of the goal and Notis Venieris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 35 played minutes Palaiokhσra FC got a freekick which was hit by Kosmas Baltsakis. Evripidis Koubaroulis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isidoros Kalaboukis made a kick off. Tasos Koublis charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tasos Koublis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tasos Koublis kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 56th minute of the match Stratos Rokkas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pantelis Leontarakis skillfully saved the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Amigdhaliαs's Stratos Rokkas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Palaiokhσra FC's Pantelis Leontarakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evripidis Koubaroulis in the 69th minute of play. Evripidis Koubaroulis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Pantelis Leontarakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evripidis Koubaroulis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eutichios Chytos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pantelis Leontarakis having to interfere. Palaiokhσra FC's Pantelis Leontarakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evripidis Koubaroulis in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Palaiokhσra FC's zone, Evripidis Koubaroulis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pantelis Leontarakis came out of the goal and Evripidis Koubaroulis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Palaiokhσra FC defense, Evripidis Koubaroulis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pantelis Leontarakis. The Palaiokhσra FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pantelis Leontarakis should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Amigdhaliαs were the better team. Amigdhaliαs's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
