Sotiris Kroustallis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kostas Micheloudakis. Anagennisi Giannitson's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Petros Prekkas might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kostas Micheloudakis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petros Prekkas ran back to his position shaking his head. Kostas Micheloudakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dimitris Giannitsas's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute Petros Prekkas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kostas Micheloudakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petros Prekkas in the 40th minute of play forced Anagennisi Giannitson's goalkeeper Kostas Micheloudakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dimitris Giannitsas in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kostas Micheloudakis saved Anagennisi Giannitson from getting behind. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stefanos Boutzoukas to strike the kick off in the second half.
