Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Namık Atabek got the match started through his kick off. It was beautiful to see AEK FC's Giannis Banasidis in action when he in the 5th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Namık Atabek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of AEK FC booed when Sermenνkon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orestis Lygos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Namık Atabek had several of the Sermenνkon's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 14 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Panos Saitiotis as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 17th minute, Fondas Fragakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Starks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Sermenνkon's zone, Giorgos Tsolakidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Panos Saitiotis came out of the goal and Giorgos Tsolakidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the AEK FC defense, Iason Kareklopoulos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lakis Stellatos. The AEK FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lakis Stellatos should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iason Kareklopoulos in the 32nd minute of play forced AEK FC's goalkeeper Lakis Stellatos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When John Starks came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the AEK FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Starks couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Namık Atabek in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Panos Saitiotis saved Sermenνkon from getting behind. In the 40th minute Iason Kareklopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lakis Stellatos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iason Kareklopoulos in the 44th minute of play forced AEK FC's goalkeeper Lakis Stellatos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iason Kareklopoulos to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute John Starks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panos Saitiotis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vaggelis Botsis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Lakis Stellatos made a huge save. If Sabit Tarhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AEK FC's Lakis Stellatos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iason Kareklopoulos in the 67th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of AEK FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sermenνkon:s goal. Iraklis Karezis hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Sermenνkon's Lakis Stellatos threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Iason Kareklopoulos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. AEK FC's Lakis Stellatos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iason Kareklopoulos in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to AEK FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Giorgos Tsolakidis hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, AEK FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iason Kareklopoulos came free, but Lakis Stellatos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lakis Stellatos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iason Kareklopoulos in the 97th minute of play. Lakis Stellatos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vaggelis Botsis in the 99th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
