If Koulis Vlasakidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Vlassis Venieris managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympiacos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vlassis Venieris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fivos Kokkalas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vlassis Venieris in the 9th minute of play forced Beilerli's goalkeeper Fivos Kokkalas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Koulis Vlasakidis in the 12th minute of play forced Olympiacos FC's goalkeeper Sotiris Michalolias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Beilerli's goal looked a bit too open when Tolis Gavrilidis came free, but Fivos Kokkalas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Koulis Vlasakidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sotiris Michalolias made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Tilemachos Aggelopoulos sent off a good shot on target. Tilemachos Aggelopoulos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Sotiris Michalolias when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Koulis Vlasakidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Sotiris Michalolias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vlassis Venieris stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Filippos Keskeridis kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After having played for 54 minutes, Vlassis Venieris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olympiacos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vlassis Venieris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Koulis Vlasakidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vlassis Venieris struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Fivos Kokkalas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympiacos FC. Koulis Vlasakidis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sotiris Michalolias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Olympiacos FC's zone, Tilemachos Aggelopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sotiris Michalolias came out of the goal and Tilemachos Aggelopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute Koulis Vlasakidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sotiris Michalolias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Koulis Vlasakidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Sotiris Michalolias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Vlassis Venieris dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fivos Kokkalas, 0-1. If Tilemachos Aggelopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
