Christos Stravelakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sotiris Michalolias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adamantios Themelis in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vlassis Venieris made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Stavros Efthimidis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sotiris Michalolias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Olympiacos FC's Vlassis Venieris in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 94th minute Errikos Kapareliotis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sotiris Michalolias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute, Errikos Kapareliotis made a precise shot to the right of Sotiris Michalolias. Olympiacos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
