Nestoras Kolonelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 0-1 became the score in the 10th minute when Michalis Koutsodimos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Iason Katsonis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Iason Katsonis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Michalis Koutsodimos notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of REDS FC's Nestoras Kolonelos. Nestoras Kolonelos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nestoras Kolonelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iason Katsonis, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 35 minutes, Petros Adamatos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the REDS FC and the komanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th match minute, REDS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petros Adamatos to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, REDS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Michalis Koutsodimos came free, but Nestoras Kolonelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestoras Kolonelos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iason Katsonis's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. The audience was convinced that Michalis Koutsodimos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nestoras Kolonelos was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. 45 minutes into the match, REDS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Michalis Koutsodimos came free, but Nestoras Kolonelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nikos Kraidis to strike the kick off in the second half. Theodosis Liolidis's late challenge caught a komanta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Theodosis Liolidis helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to REDS FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Theodosis Liolidis hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Nestoras Kolonelos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Michalis Koutsodimos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prokopis Karantonis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alekos Valassopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd match minute, REDS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christoforos Belos to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, REDS FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Antonis Koutras fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. komanta's Prokopis Karantonis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikos Kraidis in the 67th minute of play. If Iason Katsonis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. komanta's Michalis Koutsodimos got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iason Katsonis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in REDS FC's zone, Michalis Koutsodimos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestoras Kolonelos came out of the goal and Michalis Koutsodimos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The long shot by Makis Mytilineos in the 81st minute really tested Nestoras Kolonelos's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Nestoras Kolonelos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michalis Koutsodimos in the 83rd minute. Nestoras Kolonelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iason Katsonis, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Iason Katsonis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nestoras Kolonelos. That made the score 1-4 in the 88 minute of play. In the 92nd minute, komanta's Iason Katsonis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nestoras Kolonelos. Nestoras Kolonelos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. After 97 played minutes REDS FC got a freekick which was hit by Kostas Vallas. Michalis Koutsodimos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Nestoras Kolonelos made a huge save. The REDS FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. komanta were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
