Prodromos Vournas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Michalis Koutsodimos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The komanta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Michalis Koutsodimos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Prodromos Vournas made a huge save. Michalis Koutsodimos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Prodromos Vournas firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thomas Akrivoulis scored 2-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Prodromos Vournas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Prodromos Vournas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iason Katsonis in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Michalis Koutsodimos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Prodromos Vournas. The goal made the score 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Asteras's zone, Iason Katsonis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prodromos Vournas came out of the goal and Iason Katsonis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prodromos Vournas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michalis Koutsodimos in the 38th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Iason Katsonis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Prodromos Vournas. That made the score 4-0 in the 40 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ivan Praporgescu made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Thomas Akrivoulis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prodromos Vournas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michalis Koutsodimos in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Thomas Akrivoulis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The komanta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Prodromos Vournas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Akrivoulis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Iason Katsonis managed to get in a good position for a shot. komanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Iason Katsonis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prodromos Vournas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 66 minutes into the match, komanta's goalkeeper Prokopis Karantonis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Ove Mattsson. In the 80th minute of the game, Thomas Kitsios landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 80 minutes, Lakis Panagiotopoulos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Asteras and the komanta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Asteras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lakis Panagiotopoulos to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Asteras defense, Michalis Koutsodimos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prodromos Vournas. The Asteras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prodromos Vournas should have stopped the shot. Odysseas Chatziantoniou helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, one of komanta:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for komanta. komanta:s Prokopis Karantonis showed great skill when he stopped Lakis Panagiotopoulos:s penalty. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. komanta fully deserved thier win.
