Kostas Vrinas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philippe Potiron, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Kostas Vrinas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Philippe Potiron scored 0-2 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kostas Vrinas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Theodosis Bozidis fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chiflik Gouriza's protests and gave Theodosis Bozidis a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes Chiflik Gouriza got a freekick which was hit by Theodosis Bozidis. Akakíai made a substitution. Giorgos Papadimakos replaced Thomas Spyridakos. 28 minutes into the match, Akakíai's goal looked a bit too open when Odysseas Velopoulos came free, but Kostas Vrinas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Akakíai's Kostas Vrinas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theodosis Bozidis in the 31st minute of play. Theodosis Bozidis succeeded in the game's 32nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. In the 39th minute Theodosis Bozidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kostas Vrinas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Pozzo was shown his second yellow card after 41 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 42nd minute, Antonio Pozzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Errikos Neophytou kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Makis Pomonis. That made the score 1-3 in the 44 minute of play.

The supporters of Chiflik Gouriza booed when Akakíai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Tsiamitras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adamantios Petrakis kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Philippe Potiron was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chiflik Gouriza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Akakíai the free kick. In the 66thth minute of the game Errikos Neophytou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chiflik Gouriza's Makis Pomonis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vaggelis Vamvoukas's late challenge caught a Akakíai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vaggelis Vamvoukas helped the player get up and apologised. Vaggelis Vamvoukas kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Akakíai's Giorgos Tsiamitras tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Chiflik Gouriza's Philippe Potiron got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 83 minutes of play Chiflik Gouriza's Philippe Potiron was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Philippe Potiron hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Odysseas Velopoulos struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Kostas Vrinas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chiflik Gouriza. Bernardo Galante struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Kostas Vrinas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chiflik Gouriza. When the match was over Chiflik Gouriza could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Akakíai throughout the match.
