The tension between the Kouvarα BC and the Akakíai players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, Kouvarα BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sotos Prasidis to maneuver through the defense. Thomas Spyridakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Giotakis in the 13th minute of play forced Akakíai's goalkeeper Kostas Vrinas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Errikos Neophytou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoros Karouzos having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Errikos Neophytou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Akakíai's supporters rose to their feet, but Errikos Neophytou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidoros Karouzos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kostas Vrinas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilias Ikonomou in the 28th minute of the match. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kouvarα BC reached it. Vali Diaconescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zacharias Katranidis took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kostas Vrinas. Kostas Vrinas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After the first half Kouvarα BC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 61 minutes, Vali Diaconescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Akakíai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vali Diaconescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nikos Giotakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kostas Vrinas made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Ilias Ikonomou sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Kouvarα BC's Kostas Vrinas threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dimitris Vouzatos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the final whistle went the supporters of Kouvarα BC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Akakíai side.
