Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Spitαli's Antonis Chasiotis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Antonis Chasiotis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lambis Gerokostas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sellνon BC booed when Spitαli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stavros Katopodis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Sellνon BC's Spyros Tsitsinakis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stelios Peppes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Lambis Gerokostas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonis Chasiotis in the 22nd minute. In the 28th minute, Nikos Tsorlinis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spitαli fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After having played for 35 minutes, Nikos Tsorlinis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spitαli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikos Tsorlinis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christos Leontiadis hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Isidoros Moustakidis missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 39 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Stelios Peppes right hand side. Stelios Peppes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apostolos Smernos in the 47th minute of play. After some careless play in the Spitαli defense, Spyros Tsitsinakis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stelios Peppes. The Spitαli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stelios Peppes should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Apostolos Smernos to make the kick off. A collision led to Spitαli getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Filippos Koulakidis hit a great ball. Stelios Peppes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apostolos Smernos in the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Antonis Chasiotis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spitαli fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Apostolos Smernos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 minutes of play, Spitαli's Nikos Tsorlinis made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lambis Gerokostas was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 75 played minutes Spitαli got a freekick which was hit by Stavros Katopodis. In the 82nd match minute, Spitαli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panos Panagiotatos to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the game, one of Sellνon BC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 95 minutes Sellνon BC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Panos Pouliasis who took care of the corner kick. Panos Panagiotatos kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Despite being the better team, Spitαli failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
