Charis Mendrinos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ano Skotina's Charis Mendrinos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iordanis Stathakoglou in the 12th minute of play. Kosmas Tzorvas took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gong Shu Yuan. Gong Shu Yuan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Menios Klidis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Charis Mendrinos having to make a save. Charis Mendrinos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Renos Chroniadis in the 21st minute. A collision led to Ano Skotina getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Anastasios Kapriniotis hit a great ball. Renos Chroniadis struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Charis Mendrinos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pythagóreio FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kosmas Tzorvas in the 27th minute of play forced Pythagóreio FC's goalkeeper Gong Shu Yuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Menios Klidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charis Mendrinos having to interfere. Menios Klidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 45 in the game by Menios Klidis from a close distance when the talented Charis Mendrinos managed to make a qualified save. Ano Skotina's players were relieved. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Menios Klidis to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Pythagóreio FC's Nikos Sapanis got a free kick in the 50th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Menios Klidis in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charis Mendrinos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iordanis Stathakoglou in the 56th minute of play forced Ano Skotina's goalkeeper Charis Mendrinos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renos Chroniadis scored 1-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charis Mendrinos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 65 minutes, Kosmas Tzorvas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ano Skotina and the Pythagóreio FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Charis Mendrinos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vrasidas Christodoulou, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
