Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kosmas Tzorvas kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Ano Skotina got a freekick which was hit by Anastasios Kapriniotis. 5 minutes into the match, Ano Skotina's goal looked a bit too open when Panos Mourikis came free, but Charis Mendrinos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Menelaos Ntovas hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. If Panos Seremetidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Sotiris Papagiannis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nestoras Saravalakos. Likoyiαnnis FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sotiris Papagiannis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Sotiris Papagiannis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nestoras Saravalakos. That made the score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. Likoyiαnnis FC's Panos Mourikis got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Ano Skotina getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Sokratis Koulouris hit a great ball. Charis Mendrinos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panos Seremetidis in the 26th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Panos Mourikis in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charis Mendrinos saved Ano Skotina from getting behind. Likoyiαnnis FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fivos Zaranis in the 33rd minute. The corner ended in Fivos Zaranis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ano Skotina's Charis Mendrinos did a great save. Charis Mendrinos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Panos Seremetidis's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. When Panos Seremetidis fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Likoyiαnnis FC's protests and gave Panos Seremetidis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, Likoyiαnnis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panos Seremetidis to maneuver through the defense. Sotiris Papagiannis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Panos Mourikis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nestoras Saravalakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sotiris Papagiannis in the 61st minute of play. Kosmas Tzorvas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Panos Mourikis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Charis Mendrinos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Menelaos Ntovas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panos Mourikis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. One of Likoyiαnnis FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ano Skotina:s goal. The referee gave Ano Skotina a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kleon Mavrogenidis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Likoyiαnnis FC's Nestoras Saravalakos. 3-1. 83 minutes into the game, Kosmas Tzorvas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Nestoras Saravalakos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Charis Mendrinos was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Panos Mourikis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Panos Mourikis really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. 95 minutes into the game, Panos Mourikis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Charis Mendrinos. Panos Mourikis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-3. Ano Skotina were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Likoyiαnnis FC for a fine match.
