When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Marinos Magoulas sped through Karavσmilos BC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fokas Tzanis. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michalis Kontominas got free with Christoforos Giannakis in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lambros Michalitsios scored 3-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fokas Tzanis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thrasivoulos Pechlivanis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th match minute, Karavσmilos BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignatios Akrivatos to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Karavσmilos BC's Christoforos Stefanou got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Theagenis Kalapodas charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 72nd minute, Marinos Magoulas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st minute, Karavσmilos BC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lambros Michalitsios fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fokas Tzanis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Karavσmilos BC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
