Koupaki BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Louis Giannakakos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Sakis Mastorakis fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vatsouniα's protests and gave Sakis Mastorakis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute of the match Alketas Panagis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paris Kassiantidis skillfully saved the ball. When Lakis Papafotiou came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Koupaki BC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lakis Papafotiou couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Miltos Makridakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vatsouniα's supporters rose to their feet, but Miltos Makridakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kyriakos Thanoglou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lakis Kabitakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyriakos Thanoglou having to interfere. Lakis Kabitakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Kyriakos Thanoglou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Vatsouniα getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Panos Mintiouris hit a great ball. In the 35th minute of the match Alketas Panagis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paris Kassiantidis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 38th minute of the match Nikos Labiridis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kyriakos Thanoglou showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Koupaki BC's Kyriakos Thanoglou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miltos Makridakis in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Vatsouniα's Lakis Kabitakis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kyriakos Thanoglou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nontas Seftelis during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nontas Seftelis hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When Aggelos Stamatelakos fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Koupaki BC's protests and gave Aggelos Stamatelakos a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 played minutes Koupaki BC got a freekick which was hit by Aggelos Stamatelakos. 45 minutes into the match, Vatsouniα's Alkis Stasinos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 47th minute, Vaios Bozonis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miltos Makridakis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miltos Makridakis in the 52nd minute of play forced Koupaki BC's goalkeeper Kyriakos Thanoglou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paris Kassiantidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lakis Papafotiou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Vatsouniα getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Panos Mintiouris hit a great ball. After 60 minutes, Nikos Labiridis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vatsouniα and the Koupaki BC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vatsouniα! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miltos Zois during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 65 played minutes Vatsouniα got a freekick which was hit by Miltos Zois. The supporters of Koupaki BC booed when Vatsouniα was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miltos Zois didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Koupaki BC's Alketas Panagis tried to score from far away in the 69th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The Koupaki BC fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Koupaki BC's Louis Giannakakos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Lakis Papafotiou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidoros Tsagarakis during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 85 minutes into the match, Koupaki BC's goal looked a bit too open when Lakis Kabitakis came free, but Kyriakos Thanoglou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
