In a very dangerous position, a player in Monosktoi FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Chrisostomos Seletopoulos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thymios Parlapidis's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. The audience was convinced that Thymios Parlapidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chrisostomos Seletopoulos was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. After 36 played minutes Monosktoi FC got a freekick which was hit by Thymios Spiridis. 37 minutes into the match, Monosktoi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Minas Mavros came free, but Diogenis Liakopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Monosktoi FC fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Monosktoi FC's Thymios Parlapidis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Shamrock Glory's Ilias Nestoroulis got a free kick in the 45th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Minas Mavros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shamrock Glory's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monosktoi FC the free kick. Minas Mavros kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thymios Parlapidis was the one to do the kick off. When Thymios Parlapidis came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Monosktoi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thymios Parlapidis couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute, Thymios Spiridis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 56 minutes into the game, Thymios Parlapidis lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Chrisostomos Seletopoulos. Thymios Parlapidiss short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Chrisostomos Seletopoulos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some careless play in the Monosktoi FC defense, Apostolis Tsiamakis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diogenis Liakopoulos. The Monosktoi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diogenis Liakopoulos should have stopped the shot. Thymios Parlapidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chrisostomos Seletopoulos having to interfere. Apostolis Tsiamakis's late challenge caught a Monosktoi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Apostolis Tsiamakis helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Shamrock Glory booed when Monosktoi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lambis Vitalis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giorgos Krevetzakis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Diogenis Liakopoulos. Monosktoi FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 80 played minutes Shamrock Glory got a freekick which was hit by Giannis Tsilikas. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fokas Fakkas got free with Chrisostomos Seletopoulos in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 84 minutes of play, Shamrock Glory's Ilias Nestoroulis made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diogenis Liakopoulos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Diogenis Liakopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilias Nestoroulis in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of Monosktoi FC booed when Shamrock Glory was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kostas Koukos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Monosktoi FC's Emmanouil Voutsas got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thymios Parlapidis in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Chrisostomos Seletopoulos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fokas Fakkas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chrisostomos Seletopoulos having to interfere. 98 minutes into the match, Monosktoi FC's Thymios Parlapidis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chrisostomos Seletopoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
