Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sakis Passaris made the kick off which started today's match. 9 minutes into the game, Stathis Pentaras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pondismιnon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ierápetra FC the free kick. A collision led to Pondismιnon getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Stathis Pentaras hit a great ball. Sotiris Korkolis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Valentinos Rapanakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Panos Vasiliadis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nestoras Koronas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th match minute, Ierápetra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aris Aggelopoulos to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Sotiris Korkolis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pondismιnon's Savas Braoudakis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 30th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ierápetra FC. Valentinos Rapanakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sotiris Korkolis in the 32nd minute of play. Nikitas Amanatidis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ntinos Prevezanos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Valentinos Rapanakis didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 42nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. In the 48th minute Sakis Passaris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ntinos Prevezanos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sakis Passaris in the 49th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ntinos Prevezanos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sotiris Korkolis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valentinos Rapanakis came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Pondismιnon's Sotiris Korkolis. But to his dismay, Sotiris Korkolis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Valentinos Rapanakis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sotiris Korkolis went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 62 minutes into the game, Panos Karpouzopoulos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pondismιnon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ierápetra FC the free kick. The supporters of Ierápetra FC booed when Pondismιnon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panos Karpouzopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pondismιnon's Nestoras Koronas got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Ntinos Prevezanos managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Ierápetra FC's Nikitas Amanatidis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fotis Tzorvas kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Ntinos Prevezanos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sakis Passaris, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. When Fotis Tzorvas fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pondismιnon's protests and gave Fotis Tzorvas a yellow card for diving instead. 80 minutes into the match, Pondismιnon's goalkeeper Ntinos Prevezanos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nikitas Amanatidis. Sakis Passaris's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ntinos Prevezanos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Sakis Passaris took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Ntinos Prevezanos to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pondismιnon fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ierápetra FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
