Nektarios Stratas ran back to his position shaking his head. Nektarios Stratas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panagiotis Matsis having to interfere. Nikos Kourkounas got his second yellow card in the match during the 11th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 12th minute, Nikos Kourkounas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panagiotis Matsis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nektarios Stratas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexis Alexiou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Miltos Iakovatos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Alexis Alexiou came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Kúrsovon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexis Alexiou couldn't finish the play. Pournarσkastron BC's Tilemachos Sofianopoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Panagiotis Matsis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexis Alexiou, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Alexis Alexiou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panagiotis Matsis having to interfere. Alexis Alexiou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Panagiotis Matsis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
