In the 7th minute Ntinos Ikonomidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaggelis Vamvakas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Spyros Koufakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Spyros Koufakis struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Vaggelis Vamvakas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kokkinopolσs. Fanis Nikolopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonis Lefkopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fragiskos Bekiaris got free with Fanis Nikolopoulos in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the match, Kokkinopolσs's Spyros Koufakis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vaggelis Vamvakas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gerasimos Mallios hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Spyros Koufakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute, Ntinos Ikonomidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ntinos Ikonomidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vaggelis Vamvakas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ntinos Ikonomidis ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Spyros Koufakis in the 39th minute of play forced Kambia's goalkeeper Vaggelis Vamvakas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vaggelis Vamvakas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Spyros Koufakis in the 41st minute of play. When Spyros Koufakis came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Kokkinopolσs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Spyros Koufakis couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antonis Lefkopoulos made a kick off. Ntinos Ikonomidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vaggelis Vamvakas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ntinos Ikonomidis ran back to his position shaking his head. Vaggelis Vamvakas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ntinos Ikonomidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Kambia's goalkeeper Vaggelis Vamvakas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Spyros Koufakis. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Fragiskos Bekiaris managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kambia's supporters rose to their feet, but Fragiskos Bekiaris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fanis Nikolopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 64 minutes into the match, Kambia's goalkeeper Vaggelis Vamvakas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Spyros Koufakis. Spyros Koufakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Vaggelis Vamvakas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Spyros Koufakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ntinos Ikonomidis in the 77th minute of play forced Kambia's goalkeeper Vaggelis Vamvakas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Paris Savourogiannis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vaggelis Vamvakas was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eleftherios Kavallieratos. Giorgos Kaloritis kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Ignatios Diamantopoulos hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Antonis Lefkopoulos might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fanis Nikolopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonis Lefkopoulos ran back to his position shaking his head. Fanis Nikolopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonis Lefkopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonis Lefkopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fanis Nikolopoulos having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Kokkinopolσs players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
