Kleanthis Antoniou was left in no man's land by his defense there! 7 minutes into the match, Poliani's goalkeeper Errikos Moustakidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ilias Chroniadis. Anthimos Katsidimas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Poliani's Themos Pavlakoglou, in the 12th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Poliani. In the 16th minute, Ilias Chroniadis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gioϊra BC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. A collision led to Gioϊra BC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Charis Kallioras hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Poliani's goal looked a bit too open when Alexis Karapapas came free, but Errikos Moustakidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexis Karapapas did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Errikos Moustakidis 32 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Ilias Chroniadis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alexis Karapapas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Errikos Moustakidis having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anthimos Katsidimas in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kleanthis Antoniou saved Gioϊra BC from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexis Karapapas to make the kick off. Anthimos Katsidimas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kleanthis Antoniou having to interfere. Ilias Chroniadis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute Ilias Chroniadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Errikos Moustakidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilias Chroniadis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Errikos Moustakidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Anthimos Katsidimas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kleanthis Antoniou having to interfere. Errikos Moustakidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexis Karapapas, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The supporters of Gioϊra BC booed when Poliani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Periklis Tatsos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Errikos Moustakidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexis Karapapas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Poliani's goal looked a bit too open when Ilias Chroniadis came free, but Errikos Moustakidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilias Chroniadis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Poliani's zone, Alexis Karapapas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Errikos Moustakidis came out of the goal and Alexis Karapapas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Themos Pavlakoglou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kleanthis Antoniou having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Poliani's goal looked a bit too open when Alexis Karapapas came free, but Errikos Moustakidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Poliani players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gioϊra BC.
