Iosif Savvas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gorgomylos BC's Sofoklis Papadimas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Minas Mimidis in the 21st minute of play. Gorgomylos BC's Thomas Koltsidas suffered a concussion after 22 minutes and had to leave the field. Filippos Peros charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filippos Peros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Filippos Peros kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Thodoris Vourtzoumis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gorgomylos BC's Christos Skafidas got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thodoris Vourtzoumis in the 32nd minute of play forced Samári BC's goalkeeper Iosif Savvas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Thodoris Vourtzoumis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iosif Savvas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thodoris Vourtzoumis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iosif Savvas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renos Kotoulas in the 39th minute of play forced Samári BC's goalkeeper Iosif Savvas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samári BC's Iosif Savvas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thodoris Vourtzoumis in the 41st minute of play. If Thodoris Vourtzoumis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tasos Polizos came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Samári BC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tasos Polizos couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute Minas Mimidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sofoklis Papadimas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Minas Mimidis to strike the kick off in the second half. Thodoris Vourtzoumis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Samári BC's Fivos Lalas got a free kick in the 76th minute. If Thodoris Vourtzoumis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute.
