In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Slópnitsa's goalkeeper Theodosis Georgoulis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 5th minute Thodoris Vourtzoumis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theodosis Georgoulis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fivos Kaketsis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Sofoklis Papadimas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Slópnitsa's goal looked a bit too open when Stamatis Katsioulas came free, but Theodosis Georgoulis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fivos Kaketsis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomas Koltsidas kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Sofoklis Papadimas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michalis Georgiadis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fivos Kaketsis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Sofoklis Papadimas made a huge save. Fivos Kaketsis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Fivos Kaketsis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stamatis Katsioulas to make the kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Stamatis Katsioulas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Slópnitsa's Theodosis Georgoulis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sofoklis Papadimas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michalis Georgiadis in the 61st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michalis Georgiadis in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sofoklis Papadimas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Fivos Kaketsis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slópnitsa's supporters rose to their feet, but Fivos Kaketsis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sofoklis Papadimas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th minute, Michalis Georgiadis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sofoklis Papadimas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fivos Kaketsis in the 73rd minute of the match. After having played for 92 minutes, Fivos Kaketsis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slópnitsa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fivos Kaketsis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 96 played minutes Gorgomylos BC got a freekick which was hit by Christos Skafidas. The Gorgomylos BC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gorgomylos BC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
