Paschalis Platis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christodoulos Melissinos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Manos Katsabas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Thomas Kapellos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thomas Kapellos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manos Katsabas in the 11th minute of play. Thomas Kapellos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogenis Kamilas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ano Rodonia FC's Diogenis Kamilas got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Valemνka's Paschalis Platis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Christodoulos Melissinos. Christodoulos Melissinos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Thomas Kapellos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manos Katsabas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Diogenis Kamilas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute Manos Katsabas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Kapellos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diogenis Kamilas in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Kapellos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diogenis Kamilas to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Valemνka's zone, Nikitas Bourboulithras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 68th minute, Manos Katsabas made a precise shot to the right of Thomas Kapellos. Valemνka's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Manos Katsabas struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Thomas Kapellos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ano Rodonia FC. Thomas Kapellos made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Diogenis Kamilas sent off a good shot on target.
