When Themistoklis Nentidis fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Likoyiánnis FC's protests and gave Themistoklis Nentidis a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 played minutes Likoyiánnis FC got a freekick which was hit by Themistoklis Nentidis. Gerasimos Valavanidis scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anastasios Kotitsas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Likoyiánnis FC booed when Platanies FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikos Rellis didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Likoyiánnis FC's Fragiskos Tsouknidas in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Fokas Lekakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Babbis Giannoulis having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Platanies FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fokas Lekakis came free, but Babbis Giannoulis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Babbis Giannoulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fragiskos Tsouknidas in the 25th minute of play. When Antonis Nikolaidis was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 30 minutes had been played. A collision led to Platanies FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Antonis Nikolaidis hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Apostolis Karachristos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Platanies FC's Babbis Giannoulis didn't even have to move. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After having played for 77 minutes, Fokas Lekakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fragiskos Tsouknidas in the 84th minute of play forced Platanies FC's goalkeeper Babbis Giannoulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Platanies FC's Nikos Rellis in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Likoyiánnis FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Platanies FC's zone, Fragiskos Tsouknidas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Babbis Giannoulis came out of the goal and Fragiskos Tsouknidas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Platanies FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Likoyiánnis FC for a fine match.
