Diogenis Kousas might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Babbis Giannoulis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diogenis Kousas ran back to his position shaking his head. Giannis Katechakis struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Babbis Giannoulis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nafpaktos FC. In the 7th minute, Giannis Katechakis made a precise shot to the right of Babbis Giannoulis. Platanies FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Vassilis Katsavidas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thodoris Agathakos in the 12th minute. Babbis Giannoulis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sakis Michail, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute Giannis Katechakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Babbis Giannoulis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giannis Katechakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Babbis Giannoulis having to interfere. In the 19th minute Diogenis Kousas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Babbis Giannoulis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Giannis Katechakis came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Nafpaktos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giannis Katechakis couldn't finish the play. After 21 played minutes Platanies FC got a freekick which was hit by Christos Tokalidis. If Diogenis Kousas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogenis Kousas in the 27th minute of play forced Platanies FC's goalkeeper Babbis Giannoulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thodoris Agathakos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Platanies FC's Thodoris Agathakos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vassilis Katsavidas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Platanies FC's Menelaos Telatos got a free kick in the 44th minute. If Diogenis Kousas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Platanies FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nafpaktos FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Diogenis Kousas made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Platanies FC got a freekick which was hit by Thodoris Agathakos. After 53 minutes of play, Platanies FC's Gerasimos Valavanidis made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vassilis Katsavidas was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Platanies FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Antonis Nikolaidis hit a great ball. Vassilis Katsavidas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thodoris Agathakos in the 62nd minute of the match. Vassilis Katsavidas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gerasimos Valavanidis's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. The audience was convinced that Gerasimos Valavanidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vassilis Katsavidas was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Nafpaktos FC's zone, Gerasimos Valavanidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vassilis Katsavidas came out of the goal and Gerasimos Valavanidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Babbis Giannoulis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giannis Katechakis in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Diogenis Kousas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Giannis Katechakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerasimos Valavanidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vassilis Katsavidas having to interfere.
