The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Vouliagméno got a freekick which was hit by Vlassis Belsis. Alexis Maganaris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentinos Kostomanolakis having to interfere. After 6 played minutes Vouliagméno got a freekick which was hit by Vaggelis Pilavas. When Iason Agapakis fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eklektσn's protests and gave Iason Agapakis a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Eklektσn's Iason Agapakis got a free kick in the 7th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Konstantinos Goumas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valentinos Kostomanolakis. Vouliagméno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Konstantinos Goumas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Alexis Maganaris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentinos Kostomanolakis came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Eklektσn's Alexis Maganaris. But to his dismay, Alexis Maganaris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kosmas Mitrakoglou in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sotos Potiras saved Eklektσn from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, Eklektσn's goal looked a bit too open when Kosmas Mitrakoglou came free, but Sotos Potiras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sotos Potiras made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Vaggelis Pilavas sent off a good shot on target. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Eklektσn! The score was 1-2 after a penalty in the 40th minute, where Vouliagméno:s Fondas Stratoulis tricked Eklektσn:s Sotos Potiras with a difficult ball by the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kosmas Mitrakoglou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Giotis Balodimos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute of the match Fondas Stratoulis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sotos Potiras skillfully saved the ball. Dimitris Prasinos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vlassis Belsis fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vouliagméno's protests and gave Vlassis Belsis a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Vouliagméno's Vlassis Belsis got a free kick in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Giannis Kostikos sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Valentinos Kostomanolakis threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Giannis Kostikos this time. When Apostolos Mamalakis fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eklektσn's protests and gave Apostolos Mamalakis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd match minute, Eklektσn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apostolos Mamalakis to maneuver through the defense. If Dimitris Prasinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kosmas Mitrakoglou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sotos Potiras having to interfere. Giotis Balodimos hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Dimitris Prasinos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Eklektσn's Konstantinos Kokkinis got a free kick in the 88th minute. Sotos Potiras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dimitris Prasinos went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 98th minute of the match Apostolos Mamalakis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valentinos Kostomanolakis skillfully saved the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Vouliagméno fully deserved thier win.
