Final Fantasy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stamatis Zigos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 19 minutes, Panos Kalabosis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monσdendron and the Final Fantasy FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Panos Kalabosis hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. If Dorotheos Liaskovitis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. Final Fantasy FC's Alketas Stefanopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sakis Tsoris in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Final Fantasy FC's Alketas Stefanopoulos got control of the ball when Giannis Lazarakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Panos Kalabosis hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sakis Tsoris to make the kick off. The supporters of Final Fantasy FC booed when Monσdendron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sakis Tsoris didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Renos Topouzoglou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
