Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Trikala F.C.'s Thanasis Souliopoulos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Trikala F.C. getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Christos Kalakos hit a great ball. When Christos Kalakos fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trikala F.C.'s protests and gave Christos Kalakos a yellow card for diving instead. Christos Kalakos kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Lakis Rakkas got in the 11th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Konstantinos Kosmatos handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Lakis Rakkas sped through Trikala F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Konstantinos Kosmatos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aggelos Leontokardos in the 14th minute of play forced Trikala F.C.'s goalkeeper Konstantinos Kosmatos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aggelos Leontokardos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanasis Souliopoulos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Nikolas Letsos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Konstantinos Kosmatos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lakis Rakkas's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 24thth minute of the game Thanasis Souliopoulos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lion of Serres 1964's Nikolas Letsos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Konstantinos Kosmatos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aggelos Leontokardos in the 34th minute of play. Konstantinos Kosmatos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lakis Rakkas, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 41st minute of the match Charis Kebakopoulos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Konstantinos Kosmatos skillfully saved the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lakis Rakkas to strike the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lion of Serres 1964 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! In the 60th minute, Theodosis Garpozis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikolas Letsos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thanasis Souliopoulos's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. When Thanasis Souliopoulos came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Trikala F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thanasis Souliopoulos couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes into the match, Trikala F.C.'s Thanasis Souliopoulos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nikolas Letsos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Lion of Serres 1964's goal looked a bit too open when Thanasis Souliopoulos came free, but Nikolas Letsos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Panos Gabriilidis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trikala F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Panos Gabriilidis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikolas Letsos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanasis Souliopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Konstantinos Kosmatos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aggelos Leontokardos in the 77th minute. Thanasis Souliopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikolas Letsos having to interfere. Trikala F.C.'s attentive Fotis Tziortzopoulos managed to snatch the ball when Menios Triantafyllopoulos made a throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game. In the 83rd minute Fotis Tziortzopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikolas Letsos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanasis Souliopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Nikolas Letsos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Panos Gabriilidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 90 played minutes Lion of Serres 1964 got a freekick which was hit by Konstantinos Bakakos. Thanasis Souliopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
