Lazarina FC's Stefanos Tsirigoulis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theodosis Garpozis in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Takis Mendrinos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Konstantinos Kosmatos. Trikala F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Takis Mendrinos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Vladimiros Kavouroglou took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Konstantinos Kosmatos. Trikala F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Konstantinos Kosmatos made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Anastasios Tassatos sent off a good shot on target. Stefanos Tsirigoulis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thanasis Souliopoulos's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. The Trikala F.C. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
