The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kyriakos Klanakis kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. If Isidoros Bithas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ilias Schinas fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kassαnoi BC's protests and gave Ilias Schinas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th match minute, Kassαnoi BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilias Schinas to maneuver through the defense. Anestis Kafes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Antoniadis in the 15th minute of play. Fanis Violaris might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anestis Kafes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fanis Violaris ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 25th minute, Thanasis Iordanidis made a precise shot to the right of Anestis Kafes. Kassαnoi BC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Theofanis Kesaris charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Theofanis Kesaris the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Kassαnoi BC's Theofanis Kesaris got a free kick in the 31st minute. Fanis Violaris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th match minute, Kassαnoi BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Karathanasiou to maneuver through the defense. Theodosis Sourounis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Fotis Kaklamanakis made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Fotis Kaklamanakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theodosis Sourounis in the 56th minute of the match. Stars's Fotis Kaklamanakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theodosis Sourounis in the 61st minute of play. Fotis Kaklamanakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theodosis Sourounis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giannis Antoniadis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anestis Kafes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Thanasis Iordanidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theodosis Sourounis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Giannis Antoniadis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Kassαnoi BC's Ilias Schinas got a free kick in the 79th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Isidoros Bithas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kassαnoi BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoros Bithas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fotis Kaklamanakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Theodosis Sourounis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fotis Kaklamanakis having to make a save. Isidoros Bithas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Fotis Kaklamanakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dimitris Tsichlas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Giannis Antoniadis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Giannis Antoniadis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anestis Kafes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Stars players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
