In the 3rd minute Sotos Megas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorotheos Kopanos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute, Michalis Giasemakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα's Sotos Megas got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dorotheos Kopanos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sotos Megas in the 8th minute of the match. After 9 played minutes Olympic Airways got a freekick which was hit by Miltos Vakoufaris. 13 minutes into the game, Miltos Vakoufaris was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olympic Airways's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα the free kick. In the 13th match minute, Olympic Airways was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miltos Vakoufaris to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Sotos Megas sped through Olympic Airways's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dorotheos Kopanos. Olympic Airways were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Grigoris Tragas took the corner. Καλαμάτα's Fotis Perdikas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigoris Tragas in the 46th minute of play.

Filippos Samaropoulos struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Fotis Perdikas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympic Airways. 0-2 became the score in the 60th minute when Sotos Megas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Sotos Megas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dorotheos Kopanos was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Apostolos Skopelitis hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After 77 minutes, Anthimos Katsikopodaros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Π.Σ.
