Dimitris Brizolakos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sotos Megas in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute, Thalis Kefalas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sotos Megas in the 12th minute of play forced Traxanades's goalkeeper Dimitris Brizolakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 14 minutes, Pavlos Rizos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavlos Rizos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dimitris Brizolakos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sotos Megas in the 16th minute. Vassilis Kokkinias's late challenge caught a Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vassilis Kokkinias helped the player get up and apologised. 20 minutes into the match, Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα's goal looked a bit too open when Vassilis Giataganis came free, but Fotis Perdikas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Dimitris Kasimopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute Iordanis Lekkas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fotis Perdikas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dimitris Brizolakos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kostas Moulakakis in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Traxanades getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Iordanis Lekkas hit a great ball. Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα's Fotis Perdikas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iordanis Lekkas in the 38th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Dimitris Brizolakos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Traxanades getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Vassilis Giataganis hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα's goal looked a bit too open when Iordanis Lekkas came free, but Fotis Perdikas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sotos Megas in the 45th minute of play forced Traxanades's goalkeeper Dimitris Brizolakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute, Traxanades's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Apostolis Tsiartas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

54 minutes into the game, Dimitris Kasimopoulos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Fotis Perdikas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Vassilis Kokkinias came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Traxanades fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vassilis Kokkinias couldn't finish the play. Vassilis Kokkinias got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 61 played minutes Traxanades got a freekick which was hit by Vassilis Kokkinias. In the 62ndth minute of the game Kostas Moulakakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Traxanades's Dimitris Brizolakos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th minute, Kostas Moulakakis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dimitris Brizolakos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 73rdth minute of the game Sotos Megas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Traxanades's Dimitris Brizolakos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 75th minute Sotos Megas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitris Brizolakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 minutes of play, Traxanades's Dimitris Kasimopoulos made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fotis Perdikas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Traxanades's Dimitris Brizolakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kostas Moulakakis in the 84th minute of play. Dimitris Kasimopoulos hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute of the match Prokopis Tsakiroglou sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dimitris Brizolakos skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Anthimos Katsikopodaros hit a great ball. Fotis Perdikas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dimitris Kasimopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the match, Traxanades's goal looked a bit too open when Sotos Megas came free, but Dimitris Brizolakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dimitris Kasimopoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Fotis Perdikas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Π.Σ. Καλαμάτα lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
