Sotiris Stratigakis's late challenge caught a Αστέρας's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sotiris Stratigakis helped the player get up and apologised. The Αστέρας fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Αστέρας's Eugenios Iordanis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. After some careless play in the Kendrνon FC defense, Vassilis Batzis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giannis Kourkoubetis. The Kendrνon FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giannis Kourkoubetis should have stopped the shot. The Αστέρας fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Αστέρας's Eugenios Iordanis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Kendrνon FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Αστέρας were winning 0-7.

In the 54th minute, Vassilis Batzis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Giannis Kourkoubetis. The goal made the score 0-8. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Eugenios Iordanis put it in 0-9 from a short distance just to the right of Giannis Kourkoubetis. Eugenios Iordanis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Giannis Kourkoubetis made a huge save. Kendrνon FC's Giannis Kourkoubetis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenios Iordanis in the 72nd minute of play. Vassilis Batzis succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-11. Eugenios Iordanis in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Giannis Kourkoubetis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kendrνon FC's Giannis Kourkoubetis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vassilis Batzis in the 78th minute of play. Eugenios Iordanis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giannis Kourkoubetis having to make a save. With his leg Giannis Kourkoubetis managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Αστέρας's Vassilis Batzis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 87 minutes into the match, Kendrνon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenios Iordanis came free, but Giannis Kourkoubetis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vassilis Batzis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vassilis Batzis in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giannis Kourkoubetis saved Kendrνon FC from getting behind. 96 minutes into the game, Eugenios Iordanis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-13. Giannis Kourkoubetis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Αστέρας's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
