If Fragiskos Skrekis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Bιrnitsa FC's zone, Julius Delcroix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pipis Liaros came out of the goal and Julius Delcroix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bιrnitsa FC's Pipis Liaros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fragiskos Skrekis in the 8th minute of play. If Lucio Katalinic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charalambos Vrotsos in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kleanthis Koumentakis saved Panthiseiakos from getting behind. If Fragiskos Skrekis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fragiskos Skrekis in the 15th minute of play forced Bιrnitsa FC's goalkeeper Pipis Liaros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kleanthis Koumentakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Katalinic, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When Charalambos Vrotsos came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Bιrnitsa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charalambos Vrotsos couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charalambos Vrotsos in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kleanthis Koumentakis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Fragiskos Skrekis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pipis Liaros was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Kleanthis Koumentakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Katalinic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 played minutes Panthiseiakos got a freekick which was hit by Fragiskos Skrekis. 38 minutes into the game, Charalambos Vrotsos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Kleanthis Koumentakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 41st minute Charalambos Vrotsos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kleanthis Koumentakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Lucio Katalinic fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bιrnitsa FC's protests and gave Lucio Katalinic a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute, Lucio Katalinic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Pernambucano hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Savas Iosifakis got free with Pipis Liaros in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Charalambos Vrotsos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Wlodzimierz Smolarek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pipis Liaros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Savas Iosifakis in the 54th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Fragiskos Skrekis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pipis Liaros was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giotis Aggeliadis during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bιrnitsa FC's Bernabe Baleren was substituted for Charalambos Vrotsos. Bιrnitsa FC made a substitution. Pipis Chytos replaced Bruno Boezeman. Panthiseiakos were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Bιrnitsa FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leonardo Pernambucano took the corner. The audience was convinced that Julius Delcroix's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pipis Liaros was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. In the 90th minute Savas Iosifakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pipis Liaros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 94 in the game by Bernabe Baleren from a close distance when the talented Kleanthis Koumentakis managed to make a qualified save. Panthiseiakos's players were relieved.
