Panagiotis Tsiantakis didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 5th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. After 20 played minutes ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ ΜΙΛΑΝΟΥ got a freekick which was hit by Zacharias Kapellos. 24 minutes into the match, ΠΑΝΘΡΑΚΙΚ⚽Σ's goalkeeper Panagiotis Tsiantakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gert Varusk. In the 25th minute, Marinos Nebegleras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Takis Xidous made the kick off in the second half. Gert Varusk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Panagiotis Tsiantakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Anestis Pechlifanis fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ΠΑΝΘΡΑΚΙΚ⚽Σ's protests and gave Anestis Pechlifanis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Anestis Pechlifanis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marinos Nebegleras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the ΠΑΝΘΡΑΚΙΚ⚽Σ defense, Marinos Nebegleras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Panagiotis Tsiantakis. The ΠΑΝΘΡΑΚΙΚ⚽Σ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Panagiotis Tsiantakis should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Marinos Nebegleras put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Panagiotis Tsiantakis. If Gert Varusk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gert Varusk came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ ΜΙΛΑΝΟΥ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gert Varusk couldn't finish the play. A collision led to ΠΑΝΘΡΑΚΙΚ⚽Σ getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Alekos Bilias hit a great ball. In the 78th match minute, ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ ΜΙΛΑΝΟΥ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gert Varusk to maneuver through the defense. Panagiotis Tsiantakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gert Varusk in the 81st minute of the match. The supporters of ΠΑΝΘΡΑΚΙΚ⚽Σ booed when ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ ΜΙΛΑΝΟΥ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Kree didn't get a good kick on the ball. ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ ΜΙΛΑΝΟΥ's Gert Varusk got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ΠΑΝΘΡΑΚΙΚ⚽Σ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
