An unexpectedly hard shot by Everett Kouromichelakis in the 5th minute of play forced PAOK's goalkeeper Markos Bibis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stelios Kopanaras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anestis Tzougarakis in the 6th minute of play. The throw-in from Panos Neophytou in the 8th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by PAOK's Giorgos Tomaras. After 9 played minutes Ναρεντίνοι got a freekick which was hit by Diogenis Vardinogiannis. After a rather tough play, Ναρεντίνοι's Iraklis Kazantzakis got a free kick in the 11th minute. Anestis Tzougarakis scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stelios Kopanaras, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stelios Kopanaras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nasos Patakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute PAOK were awarded a corner. Makis Papaikonomou went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Makis Papaikonomou got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stelios Kopanaras quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nasos Patakos in the 22nd minute of play forced Ναρεντίνοι's goalkeeper Stelios Kopanaras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniil Grigoriou could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Markos Bibis made a huge save. Stelios Kopanaras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nasos Patakos in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, PAOK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anestis Tzougarakis to maneuver through the defense. Stelios Kopanaras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anestis Tzougarakis in the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Nasos Patakos made a precise shot to the right of Stelios Kopanaras. Ναρεντίνοι's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 33rd match minute, Ναρεντίνοι was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kostas Tsoulkas to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute Makis Papaikonomou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stelios Kopanaras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Ναρεντίνοι's goal looked a bit too open when Anestis Tzougarakis came free, but Stelios Kopanaras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ναρεντίνοι getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Doug Hoskins hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, PAOK's Isidoros Saloufidis got a free kick in the 44th minute. PAOK's Nasos Patakos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Panos Neophytou in the 46 minute of the game. In the 47th minute Anestis Tzougarakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stelios Kopanaras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anestis Tzougarakis to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Makis Papaikonomou sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stelios Kopanaras skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Everett Kouromichelakis in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Markos Bibis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nasos Patakos struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Stelios Kopanaras didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PAOK. The supporters of Ναρεντίνοι booed when PAOK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nasos Patakos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the match, PAOK's goal looked a bit too open when Everett Kouromichelakis came free, but Markos Bibis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Markos Bibis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everett Kouromichelakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, PAOK's Anestis Tzougarakis got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 66 minutes, Kostas Tsoulkas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ναρεντίνοι and the PAOK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ναρεντίνοι getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Makis Papaikonomou took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stelios Kopanaras. Ναρεντίνοι's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 77th minute, Kostas Tsoulkas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, PAOK's Stelios Kopanaras threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nasos Patakos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kostas Tsoulkas kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, PAOK's Makis Papaikonomou broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Stelios Kopanaras came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by PAOK's Anestis Tzougarakis. But to his dismay, Anestis Tzougarakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. PAOK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
