In the 6thth minute of the game Themistoklis Poursaitidis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Agrinio's Sven Kamionka was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Ολυμπος Αγιασου's Nikos Pegiadis got control of the ball when Telis Kostiadis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 12th minute of the match Martin Llorenc shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sven Kamionka showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Aparecido in the 15th minute of play forced Agrinio's goalkeeper Sven Kamionka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Themistoklis Poursaitidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sven Kamionka was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. The goalkeeper, Sven Kamionka, was totally fooled by Ολυμπος Αγιασου's Olov Melberg, who 95 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Agrinio's Sven Kamionka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Aparecido in the 98th minute of play. The Ολυμπος Αγιασου supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ολυμπος Αγιασου would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
