The supporters of MELATES F.C. booed when B-PED The Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Errikos Bosis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dimosthenis Tzalakostas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sokratis Mitakos did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised Iason Plexioudas 52 minutes into the match. Sokratis Mitakos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Iason Plexioudas made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in MELATES F.C.'s zone, Marko Viitanen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iason Plexioudas came out of the goal and Marko Viitanen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sokratis Mitakos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Iason Plexioudas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. MELATES F.C.'s Notis Mantarinakis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Giorgos Katsoulakis in the 63 minute of the game. A hard shot 64 in the game by Sokratis Mitakos from a close distance when the talented Iason Plexioudas managed to make a qualified save. MELATES F.C.'s players were relieved. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing B-PED The Academy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
