A collision led to AEK KAVALAS FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Achilleas Karapostolou hit a great ball. Theagenis Giannou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Odysseas Lazaroglou in the 10th minute of the match. Necat Baysal's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Grigoris Zacharas firmly grabbed it by the left post. Theagenis Giannou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Odysseas Lazaroglou, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Lipochσrion FC's Theagenis Giannou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Takis Rodostoglou in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute Necat Baysal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grigoris Zacharas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Takis Rodostoglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Odysseas Lazaroglou notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Lipochσrion FC's Theagenis Giannou. Theagenis Giannou was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Odysseas Lazaroglou managed to get in a good position for a shot. AEK KAVALAS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Odysseas Lazaroglou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Theagenis Giannou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Odysseas Lazaroglou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theagenis Giannou having to interfere. Theagenis Giannou stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Odysseas Lazaroglou's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Takis Rodostoglou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Theagenis Giannou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Odysseas Lazaroglou was the one to do the kick off. Takis Rodostoglou struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Theagenis Giannou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AEK KAVALAS FC. Fotis Melas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Grigoris Zacharas having to make a save. After 68 minutes, Charis Labropoulos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AEK KAVALAS FC and the Lipochσrion FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to AEK KAVALAS FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Charis Labropoulos hit a great ball. AEK KAVALAS FC made a substitution. Hermenegildo Monteiro replaced Fotis Pegiadis. In the 70th match minute, AEK KAVALAS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charis Labropoulos to maneuver through the defense. Ilias Mavrokordatos made in the 72nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AEK KAVALAS FC's Makis Labiridis. When Necat Baysal came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Lipochσrion FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Necat Baysal couldn't finish the play. Theagenis Giannou made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Odysseas Lazaroglou sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in AEK KAVALAS FC's zone, Aleksander Brzakala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grigoris Zacharas came out of the goal and Aleksander Brzakala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fotis Melas in the 83rd minute of play forced AEK KAVALAS FC's goalkeeper Grigoris Zacharas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Lipochσrion FC's goalkeeper Theagenis Giannou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Odysseas Lazaroglou. Makis Labiridis kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Lipochσrion FC's Theagenis Giannou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Lipochσrion FC from getting a goal against them. Lipochσrion FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of AEK KAVALAS FC for a fine match.
