An unexpectedly hard shot by Santeri Manninen in the 14th minute of play forced Tarnala IFK's goalkeeper Heikki Salminen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tarnala IFK's Ale Hartikainen in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Viiskorpi IFK's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 21 minutes, Paul Raisanen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 25th match minute, Tarnala IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Lindberg to maneuver through the defense. Paul Raisanen took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heikki Salminen. Heikki Salminen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Paul Raisanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heikki Salminen having to interfere. A hard shot 38 in the game by Ale Hartikainen from a close distance when the talented Perttu Seppo managed to make a qualified save. Viiskorpi IFK's players were relieved. A hard shot by Turo Haapaporras from long distance, 43 minutes into the match, got Perttu Seppo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Ale Hartikainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ale Hartikainen made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Rafael Lindberg made a precise shot to the right of Perttu Seppo. Viiskorpi IFK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The supporters of Viiskorpi IFK booed when Tarnala IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Viinikainen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 played minutes Tarnala IFK got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Viinikainen. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ale Hartikainen in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Perttu Seppo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julius Koivu during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Ale Hartikainen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Perttu Seppo was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. 72 minutes into the match, Tarnala IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Raisanen came free, but Heikki Salminen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ale Hartikainen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Perttu Seppo was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Ale Hartikainen might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Perttu Seppo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ale Hartikainen ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Tarnala IFK booed when Viiskorpi IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aarno Kallio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Santeri Koponen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tarnala IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Viiskorpi IFK the free kick. Santeri Koponen kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Tapani Kurri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Ale Hartikainen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Perttu Seppo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a rather tough play, Viiskorpi IFK's Visa Lahtinen got a free kick in the 94th minute. Tapani Kurri struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Perttu Seppo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tarnala IFK. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Tarnala IFK had played much better football throughout.
