Väyryvaara FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean Miinalainen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jarmo Blomberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niels Tervo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarmo Blomberg made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Pal Aikonaa sent off a good shot on target. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute, FC puikot's Ilppo Perälä seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ilppo Perälä the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC puikot protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ilppo Perälä had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC puikot! The referee gave Väyryvaara FC a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edvard Teräs, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC puikot's Jarmo Blomberg. 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean Miinalainen during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jarmo Blomberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kal Kukkamäki, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. If Taavetti Viitaluoma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
