In the 20thth minute of the game Nikodemus Leppilampi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sara IFK's Reino Antila was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Toni Lindfors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toni Lindfors got free with Veeti Miinalainen in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Veeti Järventie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lausti's supporters rose to their feet, but Veeti Järventie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reino Antila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 31 minutes, Toni Lindfors managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sara IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toni Lindfors was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Toni Lindfors struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Veeti Miinalainen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sara IFK. The Sara IFK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lausti were winning 0-1.

The Sara IFK fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Sara IFK's Aarni Palenius looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 59 minutes into the match, Sara IFK's Toni Lindfors sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Veeti Miinalainen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, Lausti's goal looked a bit too open when Aarni Palenius came free, but Veeti Miinalainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Veeti Järventie came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Lausti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Veeti Järventie couldn't finish the play. After 70 played minutes Sara IFK got a freekick which was hit by Veikko Harju. The supporters of Lausti booed when Sara IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tenho Jatkola didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Jesse Harinen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sara IFK's Reino Antila didn't even have to move. In the 74th minute, Ville Sanevuori hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute Aarni Palenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veeti Miinalainen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aarni Palenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veeti Miinalainen having to interfere. In the 87th match minute, Sara IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tenho Jatkola to maneuver through the defense. Sara IFK's Reino Antila proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Sara IFK from getting a goal against them. Veeti Järventie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Reino Antila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Lausti players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Sara IFK from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
