Hästö's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Turkki FC the free kick. Tommi Vuorinen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hästö. Mikko Tuulola might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joakim Lätti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mikko Tuulola ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Joakim Lätti managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Turkki FC's Pertti Varis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pertti Varis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Joakim Lätti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kimi Lampi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Hästö's zone, Mikko Tuulola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joakim Lätti came out of the goal and Mikko Tuulola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jori Niemi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joakim Lätti having to interfere. In the 46th minute of the match, Jori Niemi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joakim Lätti saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Jori Niemi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kimi Lampi to strike the kick off in the second half. Joakim Lätti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jori Niemi in the 51st minute of the match.
