The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ossian Pirnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the match, Pekka Perämäki notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Vaskiranta's Arttu Mäki. Arttu Mäki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Vaskiranta defense, Elmer Ikonen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arttu Mäki. The Vaskiranta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arttu Mäki should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Vaskiranta's Aadolf Grahn got a free kick in the 15th minute. FC Espoo's Alvi Vuori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvi Bruun in the 18th minute of play. Arttu Mäki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taavi Ylimäki in the 21st minute of play. Pekka Perämäki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arttu Mäki having to interfere. After 29 minutes, Elmer Ikonen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Espoo and the Vaskiranta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th minute of the match Jorma Tarvainen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alvi Vuori showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pekka Perämäki took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arttu Mäki. Arttu Mäki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pekka Perämäki to make the kick off. FC Espoo were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Vaskiranta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ossian Pirnes took the corner. The corner ended in Ossian Pirnes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vaskiranta's Arttu Mäki did a great save. FC Espoo's Alvi Vuori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorma Tarvainen in the 55th minute of play. Arttu Mäki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pekka Perämäki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pekka Perämäki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 played minutes Vaskiranta got a freekick which was hit by Jorma Tarvainen. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Taavi Ylimäki during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, FC Espoo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taavi Ylimäki to maneuver through the defense. Alvi Vuori made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aadolf Grahn in the 74th minute. Arttu Mäki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Espoo. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vaskiranta's goalkeeper Arttu Mäki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Taavi Ylimäki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, FC Espoo's goalkeeper Alvi Vuori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvi Bruun. 94 minutes into the match, Vaskiranta's goal looked a bit too open when Pekka Perämäki came free, but Arttu Mäki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alvi Bruun got free with Alvi Vuori in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Espoo had played much better football throughout.
